We know celebrating Christmas will be different this year. But different doesn’t need to mean less meaningful, does it?

What is your plan for meaningful Christmas services and celebrations during a pandemic?

If you’re leading in this season of chaos, uncertainty, and volatility, then you know how frustrated people are feeling right now. Not to mention hopeless, angry, sad, worried, exhausted, and even paralyzed.

Does our current reality have you saying to yourself, “I didn’t sign up for this!?” You are not alone.

Feeling heavy? Overwhelmed? Unmotivated? Stuck? Burned out on negative news? You and me both!

Anyone else feeling overly anxious these days? I used to pride myself in being able to handle the daily stresses of life by eating well, sleeping well, daily time in the Bible, praying, being active, and a weekly relaxing bath.

We’re in the midst of a pandemic, recession, wildfires, hurricanes, civil rights movement, and divisiveness the likes of which most of us have never known. This election season is like none other.

As pastors, we wear so many different hats. And in exhausting seasons like this one when there are so many tasks to get done and fewer people to help it is still possible to do more with less.

So, what do you do when the person you give a task to doesn’t follow through…do you let them drop the ball or not?
